Briannas Hair Cut

Brianna Pre-Hair Cut
Nana Post-Hair Cut
It's hard to tell but we cut about 2.5 inches. It was hard on me...took her to a kids salon and she was soo good. The baby next to her was screaming, I think it scared her stiff.

Andrew pre hair cut

ANdrew Post Hair Cut....No your eyes are not fooling you. He refused to get a hair cut. Told me Daddy could do it. We'll see

Why We Miss Daddy...

I guess its one of those "you dont appreciate til it's no longer there" situations. Well the "it" is Brent and this is why we miss him...

Me first..
1. Trash. I hate it. Hate the whole entire concept of trash. I wish we had a dump in the backyard and I could just toss everything out there on the days that I want not when I'm told. I missed trash day for about two weeks straight. I took it out on a non-trash day then forgot on the trash day. I hate the feeling of lying in bed and hearing the trash truck outside thinking...darn missed it again!! There's more... I hate our trash can and its liner and it hates me. Brent could always put the liner on flawlessly and it would always stay up, mine fall in...always. Then the kids start to throw stuff away and dont know enough to fix the liner before they dump, so I get stuck digging through trash to pull out the liner. I miss Brent because he was the best trash liner puter oner and trash taker outer in the house!
2. The dish washer. Love the dish washer, he's very cute! Hate the machine. Who knew that you have to wait until it's done to remove dishes. What gets me is that it starts from when I last opened it. So if it was in the middle of drying and I "abort" The next time I start it, it starts drying. It should know that I relieved it of its drying duties on the last cycle and can begin washing the new load. But Nooo, many loads have been dried washed and then dried. Brent was the dish washer king I miss that!
3. The mail...Everyday Brent got the mail. He would sort my mail, dads mail and his mail. He'd even pull out those annoying magazine subscriptions papers from all my magazines. Now I have to take a 3.5 yr old who likes to ride his scooter down hill and a ALMOST 2 yr old who likes to walk just one way. So this is what we look like....All walking or riding nice and happy down to the mail box. Then on the way back Andrew's now walking so I'm stuck with the scooter and a helmet. Brianna is too famished to walk back so I carry her, the doll of the day and her baby stroller AND the mail. I miss Brent getting the mail. Come to think it's been a while since I checked it.
4. Our TV shows. Brent always knew what show was on what day. He'd have the TV ready to go the kids would go to bed and we could watch our show. I'm lost, havent gotten it right one night since he's been gone, always a day late or a day early. Hindsight it's not a bad thing considering most our shows revolve around a central theme of somebody dying and not in a pretty way.
Ok I could go on and on....I just miss him!

Now the kids...
1. Circus time. They would do the craziest stunts all while daddy laid on the floor and threw them in the air. I just dont have the strength or the coordination.
2. Gas...Only Daddy got a kick out of passing gas and then high fiving each other for either smell or sound...Just not appealing to me.
3. Cookies...Daddy would always bake cookies at night and let them eat it right out of the oven...I dont have the time.
4. Working outside...kids could always count on brent for some good outside time "working" I go out there but dont feel like working I just want to sit and watch.
5. Mostly Daddy's hugs...my just arent daddys!!

Good News...We'll be there in two days!!

My Monkeys!!

If I've ever had a moment in my life where my heart skipped a beat this had to be one of them....Andrew asked to go outside and play. I just needed to get my shoes on and I'd be out the door, well ADD or shiny penny (it doesnt take much with me) stalled me for a few minutes but when I got outside this is what I saw. Granted this is a posed picture the real thing went something more like me screaming and running over to him scaring him half to death. Then I went on and explained to him that we are without medical insurance and to do this alone was not a good idea. He looked at me like I was crazy and told me his wasnt "little and big boys do these kind of things!" Supervised he does real well on those monkey bars. I'm having a hard time facing the reality that this little boy is growing up. Case in point...Next picutreAndrew swears he can "do his own hair" I bought this wax hair stuff and it's super slimy, you dont need a whole lot for his fine hair. Well tell that to a 3 yr old. He grabbed a huge glob and proceded to do his hair, It all ended up in one spot that was a pain to wash out. Lesson learned no hair products with in Andrew's reach!

But he did a pretty nice job!

I'm too sexy for my shades!!

Bia and Poopa bought Nana this little table and chairs for her B-day and she LOVES it!!

We had alittle party for mom for Nana with the neighbors. She blew those candles out like a pro. We spent the last few days singing Happy Birthday to her and she sings it perfectly. She sings it with everyone she can think of. Piggy, Mommy, Daddy, Yukon, Bia, baby michael durbin (her doll) Grandma, Papa...the list is huge!!
The next night we opened presents. Uncle Alan and Aunt Netty, sent her the cutest little birthday set. She loved it. She wore these little dangly clip on ear rings the entire night. She loves the wand and the crown...it's her "princess outfit"
