Flagstaff

Uncle Kenny and Nicole planned and hosted an awesome surprise 50th party for her mom. We all got to meet Nicoles family and had a great time! Lots of food, wine and of course dancing! You'll have to check out the DurbsBlurbs for more details!

Here's our boy doing what he does best...shaking his money maker :)

Notice the finger pointing...trying to figure out who to blame that on!

Unfortunately for us the trip ended with a road closure on the way home. A gas tanker tipped and spewed gas...But the bright side hwy was only closed for 6 hrs, luckily gas spewed onto dirt and not road. If gas has spewed (new word of the day) onto road, hwy would have been closed for a lot longer. Anyways 2 hrs without moving, dressed in pants, uggs and sweaters in the middle of the desert (102 F) with a 4 yr old who had to pee and a 2 yr old who was definitely passed her prime, a dog and one Grumpy driver was enough to make me crazy but hey it was memory in the making. I had my camera and lots of dirt to photograph.

So this is how we kept from going too crazy.

Luckily I had snack galore and a cooler full of soda! Not soo lucky: what goes in must come out, and when you're Andrew that's not a lot time! Another not soo lucky: soda and toddlers makes for loopy kids stuck in a small confined space especially when it's not something they drink regularly.

Nana had just fallen asleep and slept for the first 15 min, so not only was she lacking her beauty rest she was p*sd about being woken up. We had to keep the air off, for fear of overheating! See the sweat she was in boots a skirt , leggings, and a long sleeve shirt....and facing the sun~

Sooo we stripped...Nana wasn't comfortable having her picture taken at this point...but Andrew was~

Nana and too much soda!

Can u see the sugar in their eyes...it was pretty insane

Fall Fun and Flagstaff

The night before heading off to Flagstaff we all spent the evening at the Pumpkin Patch! Grandma, Grandpa, Cassy and Vince made it a date with us. Kids had a blast running through the pumpkins, petting some realy smelly farm critters, watching a quite disturbing pig race, riding on rickety old rides, dancing (what would a nite be without dancing?) and eating not soo good down home cookin' BBQ!

Andrew was in heaven when the guitar player came up to him in the middle of the song to let him " play"

Thank you Daddy for great Night!

what we've been up to!

Brianna the photographer shot this one!

WE took the kids to AZ state fair...ate crazy greasy food, saw a little bit of a free concert, saw them milk a cow, Andrew rode some rides. Brianna wasnt tall enough for them so the only ride she got was on Brents shoulders.

sleep overs...these two cant sleep apart from each other.

This is their favorite pose. Assume the position when they see the camera.

Doggie Piles...Its a Nana sandwhich

Playing Hungry Hippos....Andrew takes this very seriously

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

Brianna singing her version of twinkle little star. I could listen to this all day....oh wait I DO! This song could be just one verse or twenty depending on how she's feeling....Oh and the noise in the background...dont worry, that's just Brent and Uncle Kenny shooting their piews! aka guns. Oh and she's really not driving.
Now that I think of it this is an odd post....kinda makes me look like a bad mom...Where's dad? oh, he's shooting at a pile of dirt and thier uncle? he's shooting at some old water bottles. Where's the 4 yr old? he's peeing behind a tree. And the two year old? she's drving the truck. me? I'm capturing it on camera...Yup that's how we roll in Flagstaff

Next Year Buddy!!

A day at the Park

We've had a streak of coolER weather, enough to get us out the house for a while and enjoy some fresh air. Although I may complain about the heat in AZ, I do love that the sun shines everyday and there's always a bright beautiful blue sky!
she was intrigued by tractors across the street.
Hard at work...he said he was building me a house!

AZ snow angel....or just a dirty little boy!

she was soo worried about loosing her bandaid.

A small Proud Mommy Moment

Today cassy, the kids and I went to Chic-fil-a (makes my mouth water just thinking about it)...anyways, we ate like we always do and bribed the kids with "sit and eat so you can go play" Andrew surprisingly devoured most his food, Brianna ate hers then finished what Andrew didn't eat, then they were off to play! Well this place has a tiny play area that at most a few kids with about 3 adults can fit. Needless to say there was no room for Cassy and I but we let Andrew go in and play watching him from the window. After playing for about 10 min a mom from inside was leaving with her little one and wanted to know if the little boy in the green shirt was mine. I said Yes but then thought Oh crap!! what did he do!! Well she just wanted to thank me for raising a polite little boy who took the time to help her little boy up the play scape. Then I guessed they crashed into each other and Andrew stopped to make sure he was Ok. She said "what kid does that??"Kinda makes you feel good when another mom takes the time to tell you, you're doing a good job! It was the highlight of my day!! So in the long run he can drive me insane with his 50 questions about everything, make the weirdest faces, talk continuously to absolute strangers and have the attention span of a nat, but hey he's Andrew and we love him for all that!

I love that he still sleeps like a baby...usually the arm are tucked in between his legs.

And here's Nana...silent Princess/Ruler of the house. Shes ALL girl!!

Nana "spinning" like a true ballerina

Some bad new: my camera went out again.

Some good new: Found a new one that I love.

More bad news: We have to do a little penny pinchin'

More Good News: that's all it was a great day!
