Christmas at HOme 12/19/2010

When we were looking for homes last year, I wanted a fire place, Brent thought I was crazy because after all we do live in the desert. But every Christmas we spend at home and the kids get to put out cookies and milk for Santa and hang their stockings on the mantel I realize what it was I thinking when I begged for that fireplace.

Flagstaff Cabin Trip

Our family along with two other families spent a weekend in Flagstaff. Our days were mostly spent inside...it was cooolld. We did tons of eating, talking and playing games, the kids played t- ball and did a little shooting. Brianna showed the boys how it was done. At night more games and movies. It was nice relaxing weekend with great friends.
We met up with Uncle Kenny so that the kids could see him in action...well maybe not "in" action. But at least in his car and in uniform. They were a little nervous around him. Brianna hardly said hello. Andrew thought the car and all the buttons were pretty neat.

We told him to look guilty....I think he did a good job:)

Brianna Marie our 3yr old?

...Not questioning if she's our but if she's actually three? She had mastered the art of DUUUHHH. She says she got it from me, but there's no way, I never say that! She does the head shake and the eye rolling just what you'd expect from maybe a 13 yr old. She is soo smart and can never be out witted, especially by me! She's also memorized commercials and songs so at any time during the day you'll find her reciting or singing. I take her to help in Andrew's class and she sits at her own desk and does some of the projects with the rest of class...good thing I wont have to put her in preschool. She is really benefiting from this time because she's learning how to talk to the other kids and she's ready to read and write.

I've Fallen off the Wagon...

...the blogging wagon that is!! Now that its getting closer to the new year my almost new year promise is to be more committed to my blog. The kids are growing and changing so fast and having everyone be apart of that is important to me. Sooo long over update...

Andrew: My little man the full fledged Kindergartner. He loves school and is doing very well. He's ditched the training wheels and the coming to our bed at night...although I miss them both! He truly has no fear on the bike or scooter, which scares me! We worked soo hard to keep him in his bed and he wakes up soo proud when he realizes he's still in his own bed, now I just want my baby back :) One cute story because I am one proud parent...we were out Christmas shopping and he finds a nickle then asked if he could buy a toy? I told him one nickle was not enough but if he saved all his nickles then he could come pick out his own toy. He thought about it put in his pocket and we continued our trek through the parking lot to the store. That's where he saw a bell ringer and asked if he could instead give his money to that man "who didn't have a lot of money for Christmas" He ran over and proudly gave the man his prized nickle and walked back with such pride. I quickly gave him the biggest hug fighting back tears and told him how proud I was that he made that choice. Little moments like that help me realize how blessed I am to have such quality kids who are genuinely learning how to be good people.

The shirt says it all!

Yukon had a bout with the sickies...aftera big scare, a few vet trip a couple very expensive "tests" in which he stumped the Dr's and is back to normal. Thank God..

Loves to dance and pretty much every Friday night we all get a chance to shake it! Especially the kids!!
and, YES...he still does this!!
Check back for Brianna tomorrow....
